Ehlanzeni TVET College Hosts National Skills Hackathon at Nelspruit Campus

Ehlanzeni TVET College hosted the MICT SETA National Skills Hackathon at its Nelspruit Campus on 17 and 18 September 2026, bringing together 15 teams from institutions across the country.

The event provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation and IT problem-solving skills while developing technology-based solutions to real-world challenges.

Ehlanzeni TVET College was represented by four teams—one from Mlumati Campus and three from Nelspruit Campus. Teams from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) secured two of the top positions, while Ehlanzeni's Nelspruit Campus team achieved an impressive third-place finish.

The College congratulated all participating students for their innovation, dedication and commitment to using technology to address real-world challenges.
