Sabie Community Marches for Success Justice

On 30 April 2025, the community of Sabie held a peaceful march to the Sabie Police Station to protest against police brutality and demand justice for 16-year-old Success Mokoena, who was allegedly shot by police in his own yard.

Carrying placards and chanting for justice, residents came out in large numbers to show support for Success and his family. This marked the first time such an incident had occurred in Sabie, and it has deeply shaken the community.

The march was organized to hand over a memorandum of demands, urging authorities to take action against those responsible for the shooting. Community members are calling for accountability, transparency, and justice for the wounded teenager, who is currently in hospital fighting for his life.

The incident has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about policing in the area. The people of Sabie made it clear: they will not remain silent in the face of injustice.

Justice for Success.
